About XenomatiX
XenomatiX makes LiDAR sensors. With Xavia, it launched a compact solid-state LiDAR that sees up to 140 metres. We took over the custom WordPress website from another agency years ago, and have been looking after its technical upkeep ever since.
The brief
For the launch of Xavia, XenomatiX wanted its own online shop to sell worldwide. It had to fit seamlessly into the existing website, but that ran on a fully custom theme. So “just installing WooCommerce” wasn’t an option.
What we built
- WooCommerce, adapted to the custom theme, so the online shop looks as if it had always been there.
- An integration with FedEx for live shipping costs, whatever the country, weight or size, and automatic shipments.
- VAT per EU country and automatic intra-Community reverse charge with a valid VAT number.
- Payment by card or bank transfer via Mollie.
- A basket that only appears when someone adds a product. Anyone just looking for information doesn’t notice the online shop at all.
- A customer area to track orders.
