The brief
Democo Group is a group of seven companies. Over the years, different departments had bought domain names and hosting from different suppliers, and no one still had a full overview. The IT team wanted to improve web security and take back control.
What we did
Together with the IT team, we made an inventory of every domain name, the DNS settings, the active hosting packages and who had access to what. Then we:
- cancelled the subscriptions that were no longer needed;
- brought back the domains that were still registered in the name of external agencies;
- centralised everything with one Belgian hosting partner, with a zero-downtime migration for the project websites.
The result
One dashboard for all domains and hosting, managed by the company’s own IT team. External parties only get access to what they need.
